The problem
Commission reconciliation is the archetypal spreadsheet problem. Payments land in one system, attribution lives in another, and a person joins them by hand every month. It works until the volume grows, at which point the reconciliation takes longer than it is worth, and worse, nobody can say with confidence that the number at the bottom is right.

The valuable output of a reconciliation system is not the matched rows, it is the exceptions. Surfacing them is what converts a spreadsheet you hope is right into a system you can trust.
