The problem
Commission reconciliation is the archetypal spreadsheet problem. Payments land in one system, attribution lives in another, and a person joins them by hand every month. It works until the volume grows, at which point the reconciliation takes longer than it is worth and — more damagingly — nobody can say with confidence that the number at the bottom is right.

The valuable output of a reconciliation system is not the matched rows, it is the exceptions. Surfacing them is what converts a spreadsheet you hope is right into a system you can trust.
